Photo 1 shows the basic canvas (we have these in stock), and the pieces of Decopatch paper that we have ripped to size. There are templates at the bottom of the gallery that should help with this. It is best to lightly pencil the grid upon which this design is based onto the plain canvas.
Photo 2 shows work starting on bringing the canvas to life! We have started with an easy bit. Stipple firmly with the brush to keep the texture of the canvas showing (repeat for all pieces)
Photo 3 - the second easy bit goes on, slightly overlapping the first piece.
Photo 4 - the pieces are getting larger, we recommend gluing 'surface by surface' so glue and fit to the front face, then glue and fold over and fit the side - then repeat for the underlap on the back surface.
Photos 5 - 9 are a repeat of the process outlined above.
Photo 10 shows the first corner going on. This will be much easier if you use the template, which allows for a slight additional overlap to create a neat corner.
Photo 11 shows the corner being finished off.
Photo 12 shows the canvas ready to have the hearts (with ripped, not neatly cut edges) added into the design.
Photo 13 - loosely try out the positioning of the stars before gluing any down.
